John Keith Vernon is a Canadian-American actor. He established his career in Hollywood after becoming the first TV celebrity in Canada. He is known as Dean Wormer in Animal House, Mayor in Dirty Harry and Fletcher in The Outlaw Josey Wales. Vernon was born Adolphus Raymondus Vernon Agopsowicz in Zehner, Saskatchewan. He is one of the two sons of Adolf Agopsowicz, a grocer and his wife Eleonore Krückel.
